In spring 2019 at the age of 35 Ian was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Treatment wise he has gone through over 67 rounds of chemotherapy, a bowel operation giving him a colostomy and a major liver resection operation as well as clinical trial drugs all just to be here.

Ian’s wife, Hayley, has tried to make family life as normal as possible and make magical memories. It has now come to a point where Ian has had to leave work due to his health and he wants to focus on making more special memories with the loves of his life.

Please check out the GoFund.Me page using the link below. Any help and support you can provide will make a huge difference to us now and in the future.

Join us Saturday 17th February when the first team will be taking on Morpeth RFC. We welcome Ian as guest of honor and help raise money for him and his family. The get together will start from 12pm and as is the case for every first team fixture, pre-match lunch will be served at 1pm.

All programme sales (£3) will be going to Ian as will funds raised from our matchday meat raffle.
