Durham City (H) 17th November 2018

This Saturday we welcome Durham City to McCracken Park. Both sides are going strong in Durham Northumberland One and this game could go towards who gets promoted or even named champions. It will also be an emotional day off the pitch. The game will be the first between the two sides since Tom Baty and Thomas Howard tragically passed away during the close season. Both players were away with Durham based side Clems Pirates at the time.

Baty played for Northern during the 2017/18 campaign until his season was cut short with injury. He also attended the end of season dinner held in April. All players and staff were shocked by the news of his passing and will dedicate to remembering him.

Northern Players will wear spacial shirts after the game with "In memory of Tom Baty" embroidered on the chest. I think it goes without saying, but there will be one or two glasses rasied to the lads afterwards in the Terrace Bar as well.

We look forwarth to welcoming all supporters to McCracken Park and hope for an exciting game of rugby!

Kick off is at 2pm
