Pitches are being treated with chemicals
Please keep off until further notice
Whenever people come to watch rugby at McCracken Park, they always comment on how good the pitches look. This is down to all the hard work our volunteers put in thoughout the season. We have spent a lot of time and effort to get the pitches up to scratch, ready for the opening game of the season when we host Hartlepool Rovers on 1st September.
The pitches have already been sprayed with a weed killer, and now a layer of sand has been spread on the pitch. Furtilisers will be used on Friday. With that in mind we ask that no one go on the pitches until these have soaked into the turf. We want as much new grass to start growing as possible. The second team pitch has not been treated. Therefore any training can take place on this pitch. Senior training and touch rugby will start on Thursday night at 7pm.
Please keep off the treated pitches until further notice.
