Richard Kain named new president of Northern Football Club

At last night's AGM, Richard Kain was sworn in as our new president. Kain played for the club for a number of years and has been involved with the mini and youth scene thanks to sons Charlie and Zac . In recent years, he could be seen running touch on a matchday. In this season's programme, Richard had the following to say:

"I joined the club 25 years ago in 1984 and I have enjoyed every year I
have been here both as a player and club official. It is an honour and a
privilege to be asked to be President of Northern Football Club and I
look forward to a a very enjoyable season in the role."

Ryan Moore named new Vice President

Ryan Moore has become the clubs youngest ever Vice President. Moore only finished his playing career a few seasons ago, but has remained at the club to help out in a different role. A successful campaign as Wanderers Manager last season saw Ryan and head coach Dan Coates bring a new lease of life to the 2nd team.

"I’m Truly honoured and humbled to have been nominated as Vice President.

To become the youngest ever Vice President at such a prestigious club is a dream come true, and for it to be my childhood club makes it that much better. I started here as an 8 year old and have played for every team Northern has to offer.

I can’t wait to learn from the Execs, work under Kaino and continue the great work Belf has done, whilst continuing managing an excellent group of players for the Wanderers and make them the best players they can be.

To make the progress I have had in the 2 years since I have retired, is due to the buy in I have had from my lads, the coaches, the Best Co Manager in Coatesy and of course the Execs for trusting me on taking this club forwards and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve this year as a club"
