Northern Football Club is pleased to announce

we will be officially reopening on Saturday 4th July from 11am

It's finally here! After months of being closed due to government guidance, Northern will be open to the public this Saturday. Although rugby and squash are still on hold, anyone who would like to come down and use our bars is very welcome. Both the McCracken Suite and Terrace Bar will be open. Although seating areas will be limited due to social distancing, there is plenty of new outdoor seating available. There is no club membership required to use our bars. At Northern, we pride ourselves on being a community club where anyone can come for a drink. There is also no need to book an appointment to use the bars. The club would like to thank all those who have shown interest in attending once our doors reopen. It means a lot to know we have such a loyal following. We expect a high turnout over the weekend, so there may be some queuing to enter the clubhouse and bars.

To the right is the roller banner that will be placed at each entrance. This shows a few guidelines and what is expected during your time at the club. The first thing you will be asked to do is sign in and please use the sanitising stations provided. We are asked a member of each group to write their name and contact number down and post it in a sealed box. This is to comply with track and trace. If we are notified that someone has developed symptoms, you will be contacted by phone.

Each table will have a flyer (below) with further guidance regarding procedure in the bar and toilets. There will also have a green card. This is to show that the table has been cleaned, sterilised and is safe to sit at. In order to ensure you are served glassware whilst sitting at a table, you must present this green card when first ordering from the bar. From then on, you simply return your glass to the bar in order to continue using glassware. Those who do not have a table and therefore no green card, will be served in plastic glassware. NO GLASS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE PITCHES. We also encourage people not to stand in groups while indoors.

The way the bar will work in the McCracken Suite is as follows. There will be a window where you can order and pay. We encourage people to pay by card. Once you have placed your order, you will then continue to queue, at a safe distance, and your drinks will be served to you at the collection point. (This will become a bit clearer once you see the bar). All furniture in both bars and outdoors will be set out at a safe distance. Please do not move any of the tables or chairs unless authorised by a member of staff. A similar system will be in place in the Terrace Bar.

If you have any questions before attending the club, please let us know. Staff will be available throughout the day to ensure your visit is a safe and enjoyable one.  Anyone who is seen to be ignoring these guidelines will be asked to leave the club.
