Northern nominated for three Club Mirror Awards
Everyone at Northern Football Club are proud to announce that we have been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Club Mirror Awards, to be held at Doncaster Racecourse on 30th November. This will be the sixth time the club has been up for an award at the glamorous black tie event. The club awards is a great place to network with other clubs from up and down the country and see what steps people are taking to improve their clubs. The first year Northern attended in 2012, the club won the prestigious Rugby Club of the Year award. We were not expecting to win anything, so this came at a great shock to win and everyone was very proud.
This was then followed in 2013 and 2014 with two more Rugby Club of the Year accolades. If you think we were shocked to win the first, we were even more so to do the hat-trick! Unfortunately we were unable to make it four years in a row, but did pick up Membership Club of the year in 2015. This was down to all our rugby, squash and social members. Membership is very important in keeping any club going so this was for all of the people who support Northern FC. In 2016 we picked up Manager of the Year. This was down to all the hard work David Giles puts in at the club. From the general running of the club, to putting on special events, David is at the heart of it all.
