The north of England champions’ presentation dinner took place last night in Rochdale. Representatives from the club travelled down to collect the Durham Northumberland One league title they successfully won last season. In attendance were club president Ron Borley, Chairman of Rugby Andy James, Fixtures secretary Walter Ritchie and first team captain Alex Clark. The weather conditions weren’t the best to travel down in, but that couldn’t wipe the smiles of the guys’ faces.
The awards are part of the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer Recognition Programme which provides grassroots rugby clubs and the rugby community with opportunities to recognise and reward the volunteers who make up such an integral part of the game.
