Ex Northern FC Hooker Andy Peterson is completing a charity bike ride around the compass points of the UK mainland in aid of a Colon Cancer charity.  Andy played at Northern FC during the 1990’s and is now back in Scotland.

Andy’s father and more recently his friend and former Scotland and British Lions prop Tom Smith sadly passed away due to colon cancer and Andy has decided to mark his memory with a tough test riding his bike to the four extreme compass points of the mainland UK.

Andy is completing his challenge over the distance of 2,500km in just 7 days.  That’s an average of 357km per day and 16 hours riding per day.

Andy will be briefly calling into Northern FC’s ground at McCracken Park on Tuesday 19th July 2022 between 12.00pm and 2.00pm.  Please can people either come and support him in person or logon to the links below and donate to this great cause of setting up a permanent academic research post named after Tom Smith.
